






Quality Clay. It's important to use 100% pure high quality clay. While certain clays are ideal, and others are acceptable though not as good, others should be avoided altogether. The experts agree that 100% pure clean, raw, natural swelling smectite clays are the best. This includes swelling bentonites and montmorillonites, which are often referred to as Living Clays. or TERRAMIN. They are usually more expensive But Expensive clay is not always the best.Just because it is expensive does not make it pure. You want to avoid commercial or industial grade bentonite.
Kaolin Clay is used to make a hole host of products that you use every day. Some are obvious like facial mud mask, soap, and tooth past. But others uses for this mineral may surprise you like; make up, face cream, cat litter, dog & cat wormer, and algae control in koi ponds, and many more. They are made using bentonite as ether the base, or the main active ingredient. The clay is diluted with calcium for these purposes. Clay that is deluted with calcium, all though much easyier to mix and more redily available, no longer contains the same amount of absorbtive properties and does not work as well. That's why we get our clay with no Calcium added.

Contaminated clay. It's vital to avoid any clay with additives or any chemically processed clays. Industrial clay has been processed with chemicals known as binders. Do not eat that clay.
Clay Storage It's OK to store the dry clay powder in plastic bags. But once the clay is activated or mixed with water.do not store or allow prolonged contact with plastic or metal. It will absorb impurities.
Hydrated Clay should be stored in glass containers that are completely sealed, and kept away from petroleum products. Your Clay should not come into prolonged contact with plastic, or metals.
